Florence And The Machine are currently at the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour at Academy, Glasgow which is a showcase of NME hand picked brit up and coming musical talent that quite a few have a habit of making it into the big time.
Florence Welch lead singer of Florence and the Machine is one such line up. They have already won a brit award. In addition to the NME Awards Tour some new dates have been added and they will now be playing at the following venues on the following dates
Birmingham O2 Academy 2 (May 22)
London Bloomsbury Ballroom (27, 28)
Glasgow Oran Mor (31)

Amy Winehouse who is currently working on her new album in St Lucia and according to sources is making decent progress. She is not too keen to come back to London stating that she may fall back into her old ways and she is making good progress on her rehab whilst on the St Lucia break with sources saying she is looking much better.
The bombshell news is, she is keen to complete and then record her album on the island of Jamaica. Record bosses apparently have given the go ahead subject to her completing the project within reasonable time and continuing to make progress with her rehabilitation.
The main concern with the record company bosses is Jamaica is renowned for its drug culture and this could have an adverse affect on her current progress. The record label are going along with this plan and footing the bill on the condition she delivers!
This is not the name of a new film that Emma Watson is starring in, but she has been recently interviewed by the Express Newspapers and has been quoted as saying that she cringes when anybody says she is sexy.
Her motto for sexy is not mini skirts and cleavage but “less is more”. There was speculation that she may be taking a year out of acting to study at Yale or Harvard in the States, this was rumoured some months ago, and more recently Cambridge to read English Literature.
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is currently filming and will be released some time in July. This will be the last appearance for Emma in the Harry Potter series and she is keen to branch out into other film topics. She has been cast as Napoleon’s love interest in an upcoming movie.
What confuses us here is Emma has recently appeared in the February Edition of VS Magazine photographed by Ellen von Unwerth in what can only be described as a photoshoot that has us scratching our head on the “Don’t call me sexy” line. Kelly Brook has been in the headlines recently for her appearance as a judge on “Britains Got Talent” where she got axed after six days with reasons being cited that one extra judge on the panel just didn’t work?
Judging aside Kelly is rumoured to have landed a big payout as compensation, not bad pay for 6 days work. She’s not the sort of girl to be sitting out in the cold for long and it looks like she has been offered a new position on ITV2 in a support spin off show called “Britains Got More Talent”.
The big gossip though is MTV are incredibly interested in taking her on and creating a special role/show built to suit her style and personality and talks are rumoured to be underway.
She used to appear on a show called MTV Select and before that was on Channel 4’s The Big Breakfast. She may not exactly hit the mark in the judging stakes, we think she’s just a bit too nice for judging, but another Cat Deeley she very well could be.
Whether this all materialises for Kelly remains to be seen, but she’s not too bothered either way and is in demand, with her latest appearance being a boppy mobile advert by T Mobile featuring Kelly Brook dancing to the song “My Boy Lollipop”

Duffy is set to perform in New Zealand and Australia with the highlight being a performance at the Royal Opera House in Sydney Australia in March this year.
Before that the welsh singer from the tiny town called Nefyn has a few award ceremonies to attend. She is nominated for 3 awards at the prestigious Grammy Awards which is being held on 8 February in Los Angeles and also 4 Brit Award nominations which is being held in London on 18 February.
